I've recently been given permission by a prominent local wildlife photographer, known online as Villager Jim, to draw some of his photos. I've been able to produce quite a collection of drawings from his marvellous photographs which are full of colour and character. I'm not sure how far I'll run with this idea yet but I have already had some interest from customers asking for drawings of their own pets in similar styles. Soon I will pick out the best works and have them mounted and displayed at the Green Man Gallery alongside my life drawings and if they are well received I will have some greetings cards printed. I think the robin drawings in particular will go down well as festive cards.
