After spending last month largely dealing with commissions and festive sales, including a commission at the Buxton Opera House to work on some scenery for the Christmas Show, I've been looking forward to getting back to working on my paintings.
I have a new portfolio of work planned for this year, and with some handmade panels leftover from last years batch I've been able to get stuck straight in. Winter is a good season to work on still life - with the weather being cold and people not wanting to spend money it's possible to hole up in the studio and get completely absorbed in painting new ideas fresh for customers in the spring and summer.
